While the viral short film that was just released on the internet may not have been a trailer for a new movie, we HAVE been treated to a trailer for a new Mortal Kombat game. This iteration finally takes the game back to its 2D fighting plane and does away with obnoxious camera angles. Much like Street Fighter IV, this new Mortal Kombat will be presented with 3D graphics on a 2D plane. Also, you’ll notice toward the end that there seem to be other characters jumping in and helping, a la Marvel vs. Capcom. That could be an interesting addition to the franchise. I suppose we’ll see how well it works. Please enjoy the trailer for, what I believe is, the best looking Mortal Kombat since Mortal Kombat II. What do YOU think?
